My choice for the best finance app for iOS has released its long awaited version 2 today. MoneyWiz 2 can be downloaded from the App Store for $4.99 (it will go up to its regular price of $9.99 after a one month upgrade pricing period). Users of the previous version will need to purchase the new app. Unlike the previous version, MoneyWiz 2 is a universal app.
I played with it during the beta and would easily recommend the small fee for this upgrade.. It should be noted that the Mac version is still in review, and upgrading to MoneyWiz 2 on iOS will disable syncing to MoneyWiz 1 on the Mac until the new version is approved. Users of both may want to hold off until the Mac version arrives.
I will have a longer write-up of MoneyWiz 2 once the Mac version is released.
Update – I am becoming less enthusiastic by the day, but will withhold judgement until the Mac version lands and they have a chance to do some bug fixes. In the meantime I am reinvestigating an old app that is poised to fix its most glaring omission. We shall see.
