According to WDWNT, the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida will be rolling out Apple Pay this coming week, covering just about everything you can possibly pay for there. The only exception is table service dining, which will be added later.
I can’t wait to use it next month when I am there for the marathon. Disney has been heavily pushing technology into the experience at the parks, most notably with the RFID “Magic Bands” that have replaced everything from park tickets to room keys to FastPasses. A showcase for technology was a big part of the original idea for the Florida Project, specifically at EPCOT (originally an ultra-modern city of the future). I am glad to see that they are still embracing this part of Walt’s vision.
